Our VBS theme this year was Inside Out & Upside Down on Main Street......
VBS 2011 was from Sunday, July 24th through Friday, July 29th
Time:  6:20 - 8:40 PM
VBS meals were served nightly at 5:30 PM
We had an average of 185 children and 90 workers each night for the week.
On Main Street, kids were drawn into stories Jesus told about everyday people in everyday situations.
But His stories were anything but ordinary! Jesus turned lives upside down and hearts inside out through
parables that challenged people to look at themselves and others in new and unexpected ways.   Main
Street was an inside-out, upside-down experience like no other…and Jesus does make a difference in YOU!

We learned about Compassion, Faithfulness, Forgiveness, Grace & Gratitude.

Each day during Inside Out & Upside Down on Main Street, the children learned a parable that teaches an
important quality of the Christian life.

The five-day VBS "Word on the Street" themes were:

• Gratitude -- Parable of the Whiny Workers (Workers in the Vineyard -- Matthew 20:1-16)

• Compassion -- Parable of the Roadside Rescue (Good Samaritan -- Luke 10:25-37)

• Forgiveness -- Parable of the Shocking Servant (Unmerciful Servant -- Matthew 18:21-35)

• Grace -- Parable of the Warmest Welcome (Prodigal Son -- Luke 15:11-32)

• Faithfulness -- Parable of the Master's Money (Ten Talents -- Luke 19:12-26)
